Were you able to attend the Georgia Logistics Summit? Last week at the Georgia World Congress Center? ISM-Atlanta made a generous contribution toward the Meet & Greet for the benefit of all ISM-ATL members who were subsequently invited to attend at no charge! Approximately 70+ professionals, including recruiters, attended this networking event! It was a great opportunity to meet individuals from around the state who are involved in supply management and logistics.
This month we we’d like to spotlight fellow member Elba Pareja-Gallagher and her organization ShowMe50.
ShowMe50 was founded my Elba and its mission is to provide a platform to engage individuals in actions that level the playing field for women. Their vision is to achieve 50% women in senior leadership positions in corporate America… one corporation at a time. The solution requires influencing companies to change corporate cultures, policies and practices known to limit women’s advancement. The good news is that it’s a two-gender solution. Both women and men benefit from transparency and a level playing field. Individuals are encouraged to actively collaborate with their companies to inform and implement a culture of gender equality that leads to the achievement of 50% women in senior leadership positions in corporate America; hence the name ShowMe50. To learn more about this organization, visit their website at showMe50.org. The website is a wealth of information! You can also follow their LinkedIn company page and their twitter handle @ShowMe50org. Perhaps you might want to volunteer as a ShowMe50 Ambassador and lead the ShowMe50 change movement inside your company or attend the next ShowMe50 Lean In Circle evening meeting in Sandy Springs.
